Lucky Girl | “Waves of the Past” Gallery Exhibit
Exhibit was a part of the 19th annual united states of asian american festival to celebrate asian heritage month
I had a photographic installation, “Lucky Girl,” inside a community gallery space as part of the 19th Annual United States of Asian American Festival in San Francisco of May 2016. My installation was based on my dreams of hoping to break into the fashion industry, and centered around the lifestyle of my favorite Asian American fashionista: Eva Chen. It was named “Lucky Girl” after Eva Chen’s previous title as editor-in-chief of Lucky, along with the thought that a girl is lucky and brave to have abandoned stability to chase after her dreams.
